Dr. Tan deeply believes that bringing people into balance is the key to preventing, treating, and rehabilitating the causes and effects of disease. She treats patients with a holistic focus, using acupuncture, massage, Chinese herbs, dietary counseling, Taichi and Qigong, meditation, and lifestyle changing.
She graduated from a medical university in China in 1982 with an MD in Chinese Medicine and Western medicine. She practiced as an internist from 1982 to 1988.In 1989 she began her specialty in neurology and finished in 1995. Currently in the U.S., she is National Board Certified in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM), and she has successfully treated thousands patients with a wide variety of physical ailments, for more than ten years in USA. In addition, she is a licensed massage practitioner who has been practicing since 1999. She is certified in Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation too.
Dr. Tan have been practicing the art of acupuncture for over 30 years and have enjoyed great success with this form of treatment. She have been associated with acupuncture her entire life. Acupuncture and herbs is an essential part of her medical practice, which has resulted in many satisfied patients and the reduction in their medical needs. She is skilled in different styles of Acupuncture and is proficient in the prescription of natural medicinal herbs to treat a wide range of conditions. She had the opportunity to help many people recover from a wide variety of illnesses.
Thirty years of practice has given Dr. Tan expertise in treating internal medicine, neurological conditions, pain and stress relief, sport injuries, immune support and cancer care, skin disorders and women’s health, with special focus on infertility issues for both women and men. She has successfully treated patients who were unable to achieve pregnancy. She specialize in neuromuscular diseases, back and disc problems, muscle strains and sprains, headaches, migraines, depression/anxiety, arthritis.
She is also interested in treating difficult cases.
